Changes are underway in the New England Patriots' linebacking corps as they gear up for this week's training camp. Among the updates, Anfernee Jennings, a key player in the Patriots' defense, has decided to switch his jersey number from No. 58 to No. 33.

This announcement comes straight from the official online roster of the New England Patriots. Jennings, who is entering his fourth season with the team, has chosen to don the number that holds special significance to him. During his college career at Alabama, Jennings proudly wore the No. 33 jersey.

In a fascinating twist, Jennings' former college teammate, Wilson, has also made a jersey number change. Wilson, who played alongside Jennings at Alabama, previously wore No. 30 for the Crimson Tide. However, for his upcoming season with the Patriots, Wilson has opted for the iconic No. 3 jersey. Interestingly, this number holds nostalgic value for Wilson as it represents his time at Carver High School in Montgomery, Alabama.

As the Patriots prepare to kick off their training camp on Wednesday morning outside Gillette Stadium, fans can expect more exciting announcements regarding jersey number changes. With their Aug. 10 preseason opener against the Houston Texans fast approaching, rookies will have the chance to trade in their temporary numbers in the 50s and 60s for official, position-appropriate ones.
